HEART THAT BELIEVES THE LORD AGAINST VAIN PROPHECY
August 18 Heart for God Bible Meditations Based on Jeremiah 23-25
Key Verse – Jeremiah 23:16 Thus saith the LORD of hosts, Hearken not unto the words of the prophets that prophesy unto you: they make you vain: they speak a vision of their own heart, and not out of the mouth of the LORD.
HEART THAT BELIEVES THE LORD AGAINST VAIN PROPHECY
Our heart believes the Lord against vain prophecy amidst His compassion
Since He checks our wrong reaction with His supervision
As we are repentant because of our pride’s transgression
Letting Him restore us along His assured joy of salvation by His peace-provision.
Our heart believes the Lord against vain prophecy amidst His mercy
Since He reproves our disobedience and our inconsistency
As we are humbled before Him with sincere fervency
Letting Him instruct us along His ready clemency.
Our heart believes the Lord against vain prophecy amidst His chastisement
Since He corrects our errors for truth establishment
As we are sincere in our confession, needy of His pardon-treatment
Letting Him revive us along His protection-bestowment.
Our heart believes the Lord against vain prophecy amidst His perfect will
Since He sanctifies our doubts upon His promises He does fulfill
As we are illumined to trust Him because of Calvary’s hill
Letting Him uphold us along His redemption bill.
Our heart believes the Lord against vain prophecy amidst His goodness
Since He disciplines our defiance to comply to His commands’ seriousness
As we are grateful in praising Him for His loving kindness
Letting Him nurture us along His patient graciousness.
Our heart believes the Lord against vain prophecy amidst His Biblical counsel
Since He warns our negligence to exercise spiritual muscle
As we are I willing to learn from truth’s whole, not just parcel
Letting Him direct us along His teaching epistle.
Our heart believes the Lord against vain prophecy amidst His ways
Since He hides our discouragement during challenging days
As we are responsive to His enlightenment-rays
Letting Him guide us along His righteous pace.
