HEART THAT BEHOLDS THE MIRACLES OF THE LORD
April 23 Heart for God Bible Meditations Based on 2Kings 6-8
Key Verse – 2Kings 6:17 And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.
HEART THAT BEHOLDS THE MIRACLES OF THE LORD
Our heart beholds the miracles of the Lord against selfish ambition
Toward His sure direction
As He guides our decision and reaction
For us to fulfill His assigned function.
Our heart beholds the miracles of the Lord against destructive idleness
Toward His diligence-earnestness
As He subdues our slothfulness
For us to vanquish laziness.
Our heart beholds the miracles of the Lord against arrogant hypocrisy
Toward His truth’s persistency
As He prevails over our pretense-leniency
For us to overcome laxity with godly fervency.
Our heart beholds the miracles of the Lord against attacking discouragement
Toward His revival’s fulfillment
As He rebukes my fearfulness’ sentiment
For us to win over sin-caused despair of worthless predicament.
Our heart beholds the miracles of the Lord against tempting evil
Toward His holiness’ hill
As He sanctifies our separation from the wiles of the devil
For us to be strong in doing His will.
Our heart beholds the miracles of the Lord against lustful impurity
Toward His purification from iniquity
As He cleanses our souls while we confess with sincerity
For us to live by His Word through His compassionate authority.
Our heart beholds the miracles of the Lord against iniquity’s disgrace
Toward His righteousness while we run the Christian race
As He listens to our prayers with faith’s steadfast pace
For us to exalt His name in our labour, abounding in His work always.
