HEART THAT BEHAVES WISELY IN THE SIGHT OF THE LORD
Our heart behaves wisely in the sight of the Lord with His might
As He establishes us in His law, always true and right
For our faith’s maturity toward service-delight
In engaging ourselves by His help against worldliness-fight.
Our heart behaves wisely in the sight of the Lord with His Word
As He teaches us His principles, written in His record
For our conviction’s steadfastness upon principles of Spirit’s sword
In guarding ourselves through His truth against deceitfulness-ford.
Our heart behaves wisely in the sight of the Lord with His instruction
As He guides us through His direction
For our decision’s wisdom with effective discretion
In defending ourselves with His holiness against abomination’s corruption.
Our heart behaves wisely in the sight of the Lord with His sovereignty
As He controls us along His authority
For our submission’s willingness midst insecurity
In surrendering ourselves to His leadership against pride’s vanity.
Our heart behaves wisely in the sight of the Lord with His power
As He enables us to do His will as Gospel seed-sower
For our soulwinning’s fruitfulness by His blessings’ flower
In yielding ourselves to His bountifulness against barrenness-blower.
Our heart behaves wisely in the sight of the Lord with His ministering
As He lifts us up by His love’s nurturing
For our discipleship’s zeal to prosper through His rearing
In disciplining ourselves along His satisfaction against murmuring.
Our heart behaves wisely in the sight of the Lord with His care
As He nurtures us along His mercy’s nourishing stare
For our persistency’s continuity against quitting-dare
In enclosing ourselves around His fellowship’s welfare.
