HEART THAT BEGS THE LORD TO HEED TO US
Our heart begs the Lord to heed to us in our confessed sinfulness
Through His goodness midst our selfishness
Toward fruitfulness upon service-eagerness
Truly prosperous for faith’s steadfastness.
Our heart begs the Lord to heed to us in our limitation
Through His grace midst our affliction
Toward conviction upon truth-instruction
Truly Bible-based for standard’s promotion.
Our heart begs the Lord to heed to us in our adversity
Through His guidance midst our disability
Toward progress upon soul-prosperity
Truly productive for eternity’s bounty.
Our heart begs the Lord to heed to us in our ignorance
Through His wisdom midst our foolish tolerance
Toward diligence upon holiness-endurance
Truly righteous for discipleship’s perseverance.
Our heart begs the Lord to heed to us in our discouragement
Through His compassion midst our discontentment
Toward fulfillment upon dedication-commitment
Truly meaningful for ministry settlement’s engagement.
Our heart begs the Lord to heed to us in our cowardice
Through His power midst our vain practice
Toward bravery upon soulwinning and discipleship-office
Truly valiant for righteousness’ advancement with divine notice.
Our heart begs the Lord to heed to us in our disobedience
Through His omniscience midst our hypocrisy of worthless expedience
Toward humility upon sincere confession-experience for clean conscience
Truly repentant for satisfaction’s patience.
