HEART THAT ACKNOWLEDGES THE LORD FOR HIS PRESERVATION
Our heart acknowledges the Lord for His preservation toward us every day
Even though we are weak to pray…
In our sinfulness exposed by His holiness’ x-ray
His caring concern is with us all along the way.
Our heart acknowledges the Lord for His preservation toward us at night
Even though we are blinded by worldliness’ sight…
In our carnality’s blight
His constant forgiveness gives us delight.
Our heart acknowledges the Lord for His preservation toward us midst affliction
Even though we are guilty with distressful lamentation…
In our transgression’s reaction
His unfailing gentleness brings us exhortation and admonition.
Our heart acknowledges the Lord for His preservation toward us despite trial
Even though we are unworthy of grand dealing, divinely royal…
In our denial and betrayal
His compassionate cheerfulness encourages us with discipling portrayal.
Our heart acknowledges the Lord for His preservation toward us in our difficulty
Even though we are doubt-filled with uncertainty…
In our discouragement due to our frailty
His strengthening might upholds us for faith’s stability.
Our heart acknowledges the Lord for His preservation toward us along our struggling
Even though we are frustrated, yielding to pride’s pulling…
In our selfishness-pushed failing
His ready comfort lifts us against fatal falling.
Our heart acknowledges the Lord for His preservation toward us for our victory
Even though we are overwhelmed with distress and misery…
In our unbelief that causes us to worry
His steadfast Word keeps us revived so we can declare His Gospel story.
