HEART THAT ABIDES IN THE SATISFACTION OF THE LORD
Our heart abides in the satisfaction of the Lord against tiredness
Since He restores our strength to its fullness
So that we can face another challenging business
Indeed, ready because of His compassion’s steadfastness.
Our heart abides in the satisfaction of the Lord against hardship
Since He cheers our soul in His fellowship
So that we can persevere by His entrusted stewardship
Indeed, persistent because of His ministry-partnership.
Our heart abides in the satisfaction of the Lord against losses
Since He upholds our spirituality upon truth-braces
So that we can rejoice, smiting distresses
Indeed, glad because of His wisdom that blesses.
Our heart abides in the satisfaction of the Lord against downfall
Since He anchors our faith as our trust stands righteously tall
So that we can walk toward holiness’ hall
Indeed, inspired because of His call.
Our heart abides in the satisfaction of the Lord against trials’ pain
Since He regards our welfare midst temptation-reign
So that we can continue despite attacks of sinful villain
Indeed, prayerful because of His power we can gain.
Our heart abides in the satisfaction of the Lord against anger
Since He corrects our attitudes that shouldn’t linger
So that we can enjoy divine bounty, conquering carnal hunger
Indeed, contented because of His love, defying hatred’s finger.
Our heart abides in the satisfaction of the Lord against heartaches
Since He lifts up our eyes to see our mistakes
So that we can learn from experience-shakes
Indeed, assured because of His Word that stands midst calamity-rakes.
