HEART THAT ABIDES IN THE LORD WHO PROVES AND TRIES US
Our heart abides in the Lord Who proves and tries us with His guidance
Toward righteousness of good work’s abundance
By His ready deliverance
Truly perfecting us with His forbearance.
Our heart abides in the Lord Who proves and tries us with His graciousness
Toward fruitfulness midst barrenness
By His provision of bountifulness
Truly supplying us against scarcity’s nothingness.
Our heart abides in the Lord Who proves and tries us with His instruction
Toward obedience showing real dedication
By His love as powerful motivation
Truly teaching us to do His will despite our limitation.
Our heart abides in the Lord Who proves and tries us with His light
Toward holiness in the pursuit for a triumphant divine fight
By His armor, bearing victory-might
Truly illumining us to reflect His beauty so bright.
Our heart abides in the Lord Who proves and tries us with His Word
Toward faith-strengthening using His Spirit’s sword
By His leading as our Saviour and Lord
Truly upholding us against worldliness’ cord.
Our heart abides in the Lord Who proves and tries us with His counsel
Toward decisions based on His epistle
By His precepts wherein we safely nestle
Truly guarding us from foolishness’ morsel.
Our heart abides in the Lord Who proves and tries us with His empowerment
Toward servanthood of divine accomplishment
By His omnipotence of miraculous enablement
Truly keeping us productive in our ministry involvement.
