HEART THAT ABIDES IN THE LORD WHO IS IN OUR MIDST

August 16 Heart for God Bible Meditations Based on Jeremiah 14-17

Key Verse – Jeremiah 14:9 Why shouldest thou be as a man astonied, as a mighty man that cannot save? yet thou, O LORD, art in the midst of us, and we are called by thy name; leave us not.

HEART THAT ABIDES IN THE LORD WHO IS IN OUR MIDST Our heart abides in the Lord Who is in our midst despite adversity Not hidden from His omniscient sovereignty Surely exposed against sins’ obscurity For us to experience spiritual prosperity. Our heart abides in the Lord Who is in our midst despite anguish Not remote from His tender mercies, iniquities can’t extinguish Surely near against hatred causing soul to languish For us to discern folly and then ignorance, distinguish. Our heart abides in the Lord Who is in our midst despite loneliness Not distant from His loving kindness Surely ready against bitterness’ gloominess For us to have joyful eagerness. Our heart abides in the Lord Who is in our midst despite boredom Not blurred from His bright wisdom Surely radiant against dark earthliness’ kingdom For us to optimize heavenly bliss of genuine freedom. Our heart abides in the Lord Who is in our midst despite failure’s torture Not far from His victorious gesture Surely triumphant against losses’ posture For us to cleave to Him around His divine nurture. Our heart abides in the Lord Who is in our midst despite affliction Not covered from His compassionate function Surely bountiful against sorrows’ reaction For us to serve Him with ministerial jubilation. Our heart abides in the Lord Who is in our midst despite discouragement Not blocked from His inspiring involvement Surely helpful against sad sentiment For us to learn from Him with faith’s works along stewardship-fulfillment.
