May 21 Heart for God Bible Meditations Based on Ezra 1-3
Key Verse – Ezra 1:3 Who is there among you of all his people? his God be with him, and let him go up to Jerusalem, which is in Judah, and build the house of the LORD God of Israel, (he is the God,) which is in Jerusalem.
HEART TESTIFIES THAT GOD IS WITH US
Our heart testifies that God is with us amidst His mercy
For our gladness despite feelings of insufficiency
While we sing praises to His name’s excellency
Upon His loving kindness’ consistency.
Our heart testifies that God is with us amidst His graciousness
For our gratefulness despite economic crises’ seriousness
While we trust in His constant faithfulness
Upon His triumph’s greatness.
Our heart testifies that God is with us amidst His gift of salvation
For our assurance despite doubts’ insinuation
While we believe in His Word’s perfection
Upon His immutability’s function.
Our heart testifies that God is with us amidst His blessing
For our provisions despite poverty-cursing
While we stay in His will’s nursing
Upon His nourishment’s raising.
Our heart testifies that God is with us amidst His fellowship
For our strength despite debilitating worldly partnership
While we draw near His heart that’s offering vibrant relationship
Upon His fatherhood’s leadership.
Our heart testifies that God is with us amidst His counsel
For our guidance despite daily routine’s hassle
While we learn from His truth’s easel
Upon His wisdom’s epistle.
Our heart testifies that God is with us amidst His light
For our direction despite deceit of falsity’s sight
While we abide in His Word, always right
Upon His instruction’s delight.
