Heart Sounds
The heart of this man
Has fallen into another’s hands
As it beats incessantly
For the safe, warming touch.
It beats strongly
In tune with the
Pulsating beat of
The other’s undying heart
Welcoming a joined
Melody in unison
As the tempestuous percussion
Plays on.
