HEART SAYS THAT GOD IS OUR REFUGE AND FORTRESS

To combat laziness in Scripture-reading and discipleship-readying
Making us knowledgeable midst fake news brought by lying
Through His truth worthy of relying.

To persevere in soulwinning and heart molding
Making us patient midst weariness-bending
Through His constant upholding.
Our heart says that God is our refuge and strength midst our wisdom using
To apply principles in Christian fruit-bearing and standard-enforcing
Making us guided midst criticism oppressing
Through His counsel so filled with divine blessing.
Our heart says that God is our refuge and strength midst our faith establishing
To surmount challenges of worldliness-pulling and humanism-pushing
Making us steadfast midst trials’ crushing
Through His might for heavenly flourishing.
Our heart says that God is our refuge and strength midst our character developing
To seek virtues for attitude changing and pleasant personality gripping
Making us victorious midst selfishness-stripping
Through His transformation always enveloping.
Our heart says that God is our refuge and strength midst our spirituality reviving
To pursue more church participation with ministry involving
Making us active midst apathy’s thriving
Through His presence that affirms His care’s loving.
