Heart Quest
Psalms 40:3 (KJV) “And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD.”
In my soul, lives a night
Constantly waiting to bring its shadow
Across my thoughts, my heart
All the dreams that encourage me to see
Through the gloom, into the grace
Where a fire burns, sparkling with belief,
Rising from the ashes of darkness’ grief
In my soul, lives a fear
Where the war of the spirit sings
Songs of disbelief, doubting
The healing, the comforting, the miracle
Leaving its path over lives who listen
Heed the promises, the guarantee
That His word holds such wisdom,
It is life’s assurance of peace,
Life’s light falling hastily across the one
Who simply believes…
Believes and agrees – this love of His
It silences the suspicion,
Destroys every worry – washes away the fear,
Yesterday’s prayers are silent reminders,
Making the truth rise from its stillness,
Prayers trace the verses that restore and heal,
Verses of hope, faith and love…. Real fulfillment!
Verses inspired by the One who knows us
Like the wind knows the trees
In all of their divinity, warring with the breeze
They tremble and gasp, leaving light
Beyond the shadows, where life is more than
Faded dreams, more than bleeding griefs,
More than what we can see…
Life is a place where you and me,
We can appreciate, through the sorrows, the dismal
Grief… into the forever, where we have the victory,
The reminder that, with Jesus…
There is a love that knows no end,
A love that frees and survives the revealing
Deception that reminds us we have no way of knowing
What God can already see… through the silence,
He exposes those friends who seek to harm,
The ones who mean to bring us distress, suffering,
Injury that comes from the source of envy,
The distrust that abides in the one who can’t decide…
To just listen to the One who makes life worthwhile,
The One who is the reason that life has meaning,
The One who brings the season it’s significance,
The One who holds the stars at His fingertips,
The One who abides inside the heart who believes…
He is everything we need to have the victory,
Winning the seeking soul from the darkness’ dreaded hold
Love like this is more than the best
Love like this is the answer to every heart quest!
