Heart of Fire

As I sit in front of these black and white keys,
I can't find the right tune to flow with my breeze..
I stare out the window, over the trees and past
the sky of mine..
Searching for a word and note that can capture
my feelings in a rhyme..
Sometimes a world away or a mile, but still out of
reach to hold..
Then my fingers move and a thought comes out
with a melody not yet sold..
A song of peace, a song of desire..
That builds in my mind and a heart of fire..

It's awesome, Michael! You have written wonderful lyrics; it could be a rock song, or even a country/western song. I can hear the beat and feel the rhythm of your words...I can hear the melody in my mind. I wish you all the best. Peace and Love, Andrew.

It is just wondeful, Michael, this comes right from your soul, easy to tell that, I wonder for Lennon did the music come first and then the lyrics, or is the other way ~~

Amazing how we can be so creative with just a little time spent in solitude, dear Michael where spirit, heart and mind commune at best! Thanks for sharing this as many experience this but have not thought to express it. I enjoyed. Love, Annalise

Sometimes it helps us to find the right words if we look at nature's beauty. The sky, trees and sea are a great source of inspiration. It would be great to hear the "song" that would come from this poem! Love, Carolyn

Many a tune is about life, thoughts, and out of this world experiences like the sixties. Sgt Pepper an example. Mine are written from an over imaginative mind, of which I like. Keep the thoughts flowing Michael, and it will fall into place. Have a lovely Sunday....:)

The creative side never sleeps Michael and the piano is a great compliment to writing your best.. though to me all your poetry is 'best'.. my White Knight ... inspiration from just a simple note is indeed a special moment.. luv Carole King and all her words .. much said in a song or poem to convey many emotions luv.. your Jersey Girl is hearing the mood of your heart of fire as u play your tune of luv..

Nice... nice... nice... dont make me envy you now, u know i really wish to own a piano too, and that view u talk of outside your windos must be a real blessing... thinking of which, i have noticed that there is a funny way in which Mother Nature tends to reward creative minds... we always find ourselves in places with good view! without so much effort on our part! M.J. buddy, i believe in predestination... that'd be the only explanation.> hey M.J., welcome back!
