Hear Here

What you say is not what I hear: You say card dealer, but I hear car dealer, --Unless you mean card healer, A Tarot card healer Who deals in Aces of Cups And Fours of Swords. What you say is not what I hear: You say a nice man, but I hear an ice man, --Unless you mean anise man, Yet another healer, A medicinal healer-dealer. What you say is not what I hear: You say next door, but I hear next store, --Unless you mean neck store, Neck dealers being the next dealer-healers. What you say is not what I hear: You say soccer, but I hear Sock her. You say flipper, but I hear Flip her. You say Stick 'er up, but I hear Sticker up, --All of which can get quite sticky, Especially if you call me Mr. Karnicki, And I hear you say, "Car, Nicky." The bottom line hear, When all's said an done: Eye had fun; Ewe had nun.

If I can put a smile on your face, I have definitely succeeded, at least for a few moments. Emily Dickinson famously penned, "If I can stop one heart from breaking, I shall not have lived in vain,..." I feel the same way about putting a smile on your face. Thank you for making my day. Warm winter wishes, Gershon

Thank you for your kind words, Lewis! --Perhaps I should retitle it "What's Goin' On," ala the Marvin Gaye Motown hit from about 1971 or so. (Does that date me, or what?!). Best wishes, gw
