Healing Power

Wounded and lost, I was in much despair.
How much suffering must this heart endure?
After years of pain, I lived without care,
you found my fractured soul; you had a cure.

From within the heart flowed healing power,
I was at death’s door; now I’m whole and well.
your solid love pumps in my heart this hour,
Folks thought I would never come from hurts shell

Many times you could’ve thrown in the towel,
somehow you knew my rejection was the pain.
On most days, I would be mean and just scowl,
darling, you sheltered me from the rain.

Sweetheart, you healed my heart, now it’s brand new,
we’re one, my love; I’m blessed to have found you.
