Healing

Sometimes the road ahead looks bleak, And every step feels like a heavy feat, When darkness looms and sadness creeps, And the pain inside seems endless and deep. It's hard to find the light in the midst of the night, And often I try to hide or take flight, But sometimes the only way to heal, Is to lean into the pain I feel. It's not an easy path to take, To face our demons and not escape, But in the depths of our despair, Lies the strength to truly repair. I must embrace the hurt and sorrow, To find the hope I'll see tomorrow, For in my darkest moments, I can find, A way to heal and ease my mind. So let me lean into the pain, And the depression that I disdain, For in facing my deepest fears, I can find a way to dry my tears. And though the journey may be tough, I can learn to love and be enough, Before the end, try to find a way, And hope the sun will shine again one day.
