Healing

Healing

I speak of healing cause I know how it hurts
How it hurts being in that hospital bed alone
With only your mother by your side
Hurts more that your father can't get to see you
Cause he's out there looking for money to pay your hospital bills

I know how it's hard not being able to move
To feel helpless on that hospital bed
Not being able to get out of bed
Cause you afraid the injury might worsen
So you following the doctors orders

I speak of healing cause I know how it feels
When it sends you the chills
Down your spine everytime that you think of recovery
Cause you know it's a long road away from here
And you not sure if you walking it any time soon

I know the struggles of having to take ten pills
Push them all with water
Cause you trying to wash away the pain
The pain that is the only thing you hear
When you not in your thoughts

Cause you fear that maybe you might not get better
And that this is it for you but you pray it gets better
Cause a prayer is the only thing on your mouth this days
And since you can't go to church, that bed becomes your temple
But since you lie on it you not sure if God hears your truth
