Heal your mouth,
for it is fashioned with gentle beauty,
may your lip release words
that comfort the weary,
so, every soul privileged to hear them
departs carrying hope.
Created with gentle beauty,
may your lips release words
that bring comfort,
and may every soul
privileged to hear them
leave with hope.
May your mouth speak with grace,
uttering words
that flow like honey,
bringing sweetness
to hearts that have long forgotten
the taste of kindness.
May your mouth speak life,
awakening hope
where despair has settled,
and raising courage
where defeat
has almost conquered.
May your mouth remain
a lamp upon another’s path,
offering encouragement
at the very moment
darkness threatens
to swallow them whole,
that they may greet another dawn
with renewed strength.
May your mouth proclaim justice
for those who have none,
giving voice to the forgotten,
freedom to the oppressed,
and dignity
to those the world has overlooked.
May your mouth be slow to anger
and quick to bless;
quick to forgive
and slow to condemn.
May truth and mercy
Find a dwelling place
Upon your tongue,
That every word you speak
May reflect the heart
Of the One who created speech itself.
May your mouth leave behind
a legacy of blessing,
its words lingering
in the memories
of those who heard them,
long after the echoes
have fallen silent.
Heal your mouth,
