Heal Your Eyes

May your eyes behold beauty

Before they notice fault;

Finding wonder

Where others see only weakness.

May they see the vision

God has placed before you,

And the path prepared

For your feet to follow.

May they guard the vulnerable

As the apple of your eye,

Protecting the weak

Without seeking power over them.

May your eyes look past your own wounds,

Seeing not only what has been,

But what, through grace,

You are yet to become.

May they witness every trial

As a lesson worth passing on,

That your grandchildren

May inherit resilience

Rather than fear.

May your eyes delight

In the face of those you love,

Seeing in them

The gifts Heaven has entrusted to your care.

May they behold reasons to nurture,

To encourage,

And to leave behind

A legacy that blossoms.

May your eyes be blind

To every glittering path

That would lead you

Away from the Light.

May your eyes see beyond the moment,

Choosing wisdom

Over impulse,

Truth over illusion,

And tomorrow

Over temporary gain.

May your eyes be healed;

Healed of envy,

Of bitterness,

Of pride,

And of hidden desires

That cloud your heart.

May your eyes reflect

The eyes of the Creator:

Seeing with mercy,

Looking with compassion,

Discerning with wisdom,

And loving without measure.

For blessed are the eyes

That behold the goodness of God,

Even in seasons

When hope is difficult to find.

Bery, really loved how the poem’s eyes symbolize seeing beyond flaws, super inspiring how it champions grace and resilience over judgment. Feels like a gentle reminder to look deeper and with kindness. Cool stuff!
