Headed Home
as we plot our thoughts
spiralling orbits ego begot
we notice inherent emptiness
desires rooted in consciousness
stagnating amidst fleeting illusions
plunging awareness in dark delusion
having so recognised we choose to shift
discontent with being in this way adrift
we look for that attribute in us eternal
negating this mind body ephemeral
seeing hidden openly in plain view
bubbling joy in our heart renews
here and now innate thisness
unchanging breath of aliveness
depends not upon shifting horizon
being void of silent pristine meditation
connecting us in fullness with the universe
far cry from narrow ego domain urgings coarse
we were always home rapturous in blissful embrace
attention drifting in hypnotic trance fall from grace
no harm done for love outpouring is unconditional
we linger no longer to make cognition spherical
vaporising identity with love pulsation melding
transmuting ‘I’ to ‘I Am’ in Gods light glowing
