Head Without a Voice

A word from you is all I need To hear you're alive but not for greed Your voice for me is hard to hear When I am no longer near I wish for you to see the world From the eyes of one whose own has twirled But yet all you can see Is a craving for sympathy But you're wrong to see that's so Because you've yet to see my world explode You weren't there when I called your name When the gallows took my mane My head rolled onto the floor Tumbled slowly through your door But all you could see from me Was false judgment without an ounce of empathy Look in the basket that's where you'll see An empty blood stain a head without voice Just the way you preferred me
