He Waited
Alone I sit among the trees
Alone I taste their fruit
Alone I hear the birds
Alone I sing their tune
Alone I play my violin
Alone I feel the strings
Alone I see the mist rising
Alone I smell the dew
Alone I am right here
Alone I go on without you
Here I sit above the trees
Here I offer you its fruit
Here I listen to the birds
Here I write their tune
Here I listen to your violin
Here I feel your sorrow
Here I call the mist to me
Here I give the mist to you
Here I am right here
Here I wait for you
Together we sit under the tree
Together we eat of its fruit
Together we hear the birds
Together we know their tune
Together we play my violin
Together we sing its melody
Together we feel the mist
Together we are wet with dew
Together we are right now
Together we are…me and you
