Sonny Doyal Roper October 14, 1943 - August 29, 2018 This poem was written by my husband last month for Victor Carmel Buhagiar with also a rosary he had made with angels as stations , so I decide to add Angels in Flight In darkness at day or night I'm never alone For I have six angels to see me home Nothing in this world I have to fear My six angels are always near When my troubles are hard to bear My angels are always there They will guard and watch over me Until this world I'm ready to leave And when it's my time to leave this land They will guide me hand in hand by Sonny Roper 7/30/2018

Your husband sure has written a really nice poem for Victor, was he ever on poetrysoup?, I recently read a blog and there I discovered the dreadful news that your husband has died, I am so sorry for your loss, he was in army,right? And he sure looks like a really nice guy. When a close one leaves us, the pain is immense, but the sad thing is that the life goes on and we find another reason to live, perhaps this is life. Every soul has to taste death,you two sure will reunite in heaven, good luck

Eve, how beautiful this is! I am a counselor at a rehab center called Angels In Flight. My 'angels' steal my heart and then, unfortunately, some of them crush my heart by relapsing --- some of whom relapse to the point of death. I just want you to know that the coincidence in reading this poem and it being entitled Angels In Flight made me wish to tell you that there angels all around, not seen, but there.

These are words of souls who, on their journey of bravery and heroism, face that mysterious face of death with no shiver in hearts or sway in body.. Eve, I am sad to hear of the death of your husband. I know the pain of watching a beloved take that last breath. Not sure if you are religious but I believe that your beloved is waiting in a heavenly place. Take care of yourself Eve, praying for you. This is a beautiful poem.

Ralph, your thoughts and words are very comforting. I'm very fortunate that he did write this poem to Victor and was lucky that he didn't give away one of his angel rosaries. He made them but only a handful with angels. Thank you dear friend
