He Strokes Her Face

Beneath the gaze of watchful eyes she sits and cries. The fairies pry and wring their hands. The wind goes by with anguished sigh he strokes her face. ------------------------------- This form is a "pathya vat". -------------------------------

Sometimes when we are brought to tears that is when those around us are most loving and attentive... striking poem.. The bit "the faeries pry...and wring their hands..." is an original and intriguing bit..Love this. Always,Laura

This an ingenius way to attribute affection to the Wind Paul, super original and sentimental. What breaks a man's heart more than a woman crying? I also wanted to tell you that your recent collaboration with Kelly is very moving and graceful. A seamless collaboration, very impressive. J.A.B.

Hi Lucilla; I only know a few phrases in Spanish, although I understand quite a few words thanks to my knowledge of Italian. My sister speaks and teaches Spanish, though. In the family we all have languages at heart. take care. // paul

I found out that when you change your yahoo password, you must delete yahoo and then re-enter with your new password on a Kindle. I never knew why I was not receiving my mail and why no one was getting my emails. Live and learn. Haha Pass that info along to other Kindle users.

Hi Olive_eloi!:) This is a lovely surprise (from Manila, I presume). So I take it that you like this poem.....'vulnerable' is a fitting adjective that you have well used. You would have enjoyed having a go at this "pathya vat"...right up your street. Maybe I'll inspire you, this time, although you too are short of time at the moment:) Take care and God bless. // paul

Hi Nette! It is so lovely to have you stopping by [hope you hadn't been nettled by my friendly limerick:)] Thank you for the lovely comments on this poem which I wrote inspired by your contest. Unfortunately your theme is different to this one, so unless my muse visits tonight I'll run out of time as I'm off to Paris for a week's holiday. Hugs and take care. // paul

The wind has always been a friend to me, Paul. When I go for rides...I stick my head out the window to get the full feel of that liberating caress. Lovely write...SO sweet.

Fairies and wind together provide the stage for rustic pastoral fantasy. The idea was to keep it tenderly sweet and simple; hope I managed that. Thank you, Eileen, for your much appreciated support. // paul
