He Rules in Splendor

He knows his splendor would be too much to take in all at once, and so he announces his coming by revealing little bits of himself... A sun drenched tree in the distance a building all lit up in his glory, the windows ablaze with fire Little by little, he creeps closer and closer to where I stand watering the lawn. Not wanting to overwhelm me, he creeps up from behind and I feel his touch on the nape of my neck. Enveloped by warmth, I turn around for my kiss. Oh, what sweet delicious bliss He then continues on his way taking control of the sky, exuding his authority by turning everything in his path to pure gold. Slowly, but surely... he subjugates everything he touches till he reaches his zenith in the sky, and is the supreme ruler of life. This I know, and of this I am certain that I am and will always be a worshiper of the sun! Eileen Manassian

Makes me think of the Bible story about standing in the crack of the rock and seeing God’s shadow.

Dear Eileen, Anything that points to a creator God is worthy of reading. I loved each verse and word and it brought a little more sunlight into my life. - Blessings, My Dear Friend, Daniel

Amazing it got no comments first time round Eileen - as Ive said you are queen of passion and this is so playful with the relationship being with the sun. I see poems posted getting 200 plus 'reads' and no comments and its getting worse and worse . I miss the old days Eileen I wouldnt post a second poem until I got 10 comments on a previous one - now I post and hope for the best:-) never change my friend you've hit the nail on the head with other issues on in soup! hugs Jan xx

Thanks, dear. I miss it as well. I'm glad you are not letting comments or... lack of them get you down. You're publishing... so that's great. Hope to do that too. Will see how it goes. Queen of Passion... thanks for the accolade. Big hugs

I enjoyed reading your wonderful write. Not everyone who reads will leave a comment. Maybe they are busy, maybe they do not know what to say, maybe they just want to read, maybe they are short on time. I love both readers reading & comments when they can. Have a wonderful day writing away.....................

Thanks for reading AND commenting. Bless your heart. Yes... the reasons you give seem right. If it's any of those reasons... I'm OK with it.

The funny thing is... there are views. Like who is reading and not commenting? Strange. Thanks for stopping by. Hope you're feeling better now.

So many poets are discarded on PS. Which is why I maintain it's not the views that count, but the comments. A great poem.

That's a good point, but how are they so many views and so few comments? Can't figure it out. You're an amazing poet. I'll always check and comment on your poems.

Without it our world would be a very dark place, seen some amazing sunrises and sunsets in other countries, I never get tired of seeing them. Hope you have a lovely weekend Eileen. Tom

Thanks, Tom. It's a slow weekend. My husband is away again and I'm sweltering in this humid weather. I'm glad you also love sunrises and sunsets. May you see many more in joy and love
