He Offered Me a Smile
There I was sitting, waiting for my name to be called
And next to me stood a little boy, so I glanced over at him
And to my utter surprise He displayed the most beautiful smile
It took my breath away, the smile he offered me
One I absolutely couldn't resist, so I smiled back
And there we were, smiling at each other
He was too young to know he was a blessing in disguise
A blessing sent by God, to bless one of His own, with a beautiful smile
A simple gesture, but one I'll always treasure
The smile of a little boy
A smile that reached his eyes and my heart
A smile that could melt the hardest heart
A smile worth a million bucks
He offered freely, every time I glanced his way
A big bright smile he offered me
It lit up the room and my spirit
It wasn’t a mere smile
It was medicine and I took a huge dose
It was what my Master ordered, in the form of a little boy's smile
It was love, God's sweet love, offered in a smile and I smiled back
I even laughed because I recognized Love and Love, He offered me a smile and I smiled right back
I sat in the right seat that day
