He knows my heart My every thought He sees my worst fear Listens to my prayers Even when I’m wrong He never leaves me alone He knows my soul The air I breathe is His gift He isn’t surprised When I learn my lesson Or even when I can’t prevail and fail again He knows my needs Before I even dream them He holds me up Without Him, I would surely Fall through the cracks Never to be found He knows my feelings Reads my ideas He fills my heart up With inspiration and joy Assurance that I know Comes from His quickening He knows my fears The ones I refuse to voice He strengthens me And leads me toward true freedom Where I can be spontaneous Alive with creativity and imagination He knows my yearnings As I pray for His will to be done He sees what I want Even when I don’t pray at all And He lifts me up So that I can have the best there is He delights in my joy Assures me that I’m more Important than I know He even allows me to grow Wiser with time More alive – so I shine! He knows me better Than I know myself He inspires my finest efforts With His blessings, His love The assurance that He is there Protecting me, accepting me He knows me and I know Him He is love and He is my friend With God by my side I know I’ll gain the victory He is the answer to my prayer For love that is always there
