He Is Watching Me
The air thickens, it smells different
Beads of sweat form on an anxious brow
He's watching me
He's watching me
Oh God what do I do now
Tip toeing through every room
Like a silent little carpet mouse
Overcome with sudden grief for me
This is the 3rd time this week
Silently begging that he is not in the house
He's watching me
He's watching me
The odor of his must is pasted in my mouth
As the tear drops start to fall she cries
Hugging her knees in the corner of the night
Her stalker in her head toying with her mind
He's watching me
He's watching me
Safety felt nowhere, for me he will always find
The grocery store in the aisle next to me
Again at the checkout line
Using the crosswalk on my street
Staring as he crosses in front of me, our eyes meet
He's watching me
He's watching me
Paranoia is the real thing
A door creeks, it's opening
I scream
I scream
Everything turns black suddenly
Next I wake up in the basement
A little note attached to me
Safety pinned to my left breast
And it reads:
I'm watching you
I'm watching you
You are mine to see for eternity
You see I will never leave
Crying softly crying as she reads
Last words understood perfectly
He knows my entire family
And they will pay for my disobedience
He's watching me
He's watching me
He will always be watching me...
