He Is My Strength
He is the strength
Beneath all my belief
He brings me hope and peace
Kindness, faith and grace
All the love that I can imagine
His wonderous might
Is beyond my conceiving
He is the strength
That brings my heart wisdom
He is the light
That thrives when I’m dreading
The darkness that comes
From the hopelessness of depression
The bleakness of despair
He is the strength
Behind all my feelings
His grace reassures me
That peace is inside my soul
Light whispers through my hope
Joy sings from my spirit
He is the strength
Under my wildest dreams
He silences all my worry
With reassurance and encouragement
Promise that He will always be there
Giving me the answers, the second chances
The faith to reach out in anticipation
Of all the gifts that He blesses
He is the strength
That guides my hand
When I can’t really understand
But still believe that, with Him, I can
Make my dreams come true
Realize the sweetness of pure truth
Awaken the dawn with the likelihood
Of a moment filled with praise
A moment that remembers His grace
A moment that abides in faith
A moment when He surely amazes
He is the strength
That abides in my soul
When I sincerely believe
When I surely know
He is my light, my only hope
The reason for my love
The love that grows and grows
Sure that He will answer each prayer
With the inspiration that is aware
He is my God and I am His child
He is my King and I am the result of His light
He is my Creator and I am His creation
He is my Love and I am the One who praises
Because He is alive, shining bright
Filling up my heart and soul
With a love that is forever astonishing me!
