Notes About The Poem

He Is Faithful
When my heart beats louder than thunder,
my hand trembles, my mind quakes…
there is One who is more than a victor –
He is light, love and life – He is my invitation…
Into paradise!
When my heart feels like giving up,
and all I see around me is doubt and strife,
there comes One who meets me in my night,
washes away the shadows, fills me with joy –
the wonder of knowing Him, true love!
When my heart beats so quickly, filling me
with anxieties, fears that just won’t let me remember
He is here. He is real. He is the victor when I need to feel
sure that this prayer has been heard, this feeling
- though fearful, is a feeling that will leave me alone,
- when I finally meet Him, there in my heart
- forever my Savior, forever the Son, forever and always
He is the only ONE who can silence – even the darkest storms!
When my heart feels like it can’t possibly go on,
like the fears and tears are more than I can bear,
like everywhere I look – there is pain and sorrow,
defeat…
it is then that I look up toward the heavens, where I know
there is ONE more faithful than I can even imagine,
more faithful than the greatest faith I’ve seen,
more faithful than I have ever hoped to see – His love
is the greatest love that has ever been and His love will sustain
me, through every sorrow, every sin, every aching feeling
that comes when there are dark days, storm clouds and fears…
thanks to this man called Jesus… I have a Comforter,
and grace that gives me the strength to face whatever comes,
even in doubt…
He makes a way out of the hurt – and into the hope
That reassures me, there is a love more alive than I can describe,
This is love that survives throughout all time – a love that is mine
Because He came and died – rose from the tomb,
To bring salvation to me and you!
I’m so very thankful that He is FAITHFUL!
