He Gives Her a Red Rose
Every bit of his heart
is in the rose he gives her.
And he gives it with all his love
and appreciation.
He gives her a red rose to perfectly...
match her lipstick-coated lips; a rose
as crimson as the fiery passion
oozing out of his every pore.
He gives her a red rose simply...
to say "I love you" without
mouthing the words; to make
the light in her smiling eyes....
shine infinitely brighter, to lull
her soul to sing with contentment.
he gives her a rose hoping the whiff
of its fragrance sends her spirits...
straight to the moon,
perhaps, to heaven!
