Notes About The Poem

He Found Me

He Found Me

I watched her throughout life
as she looked for one to care.
She seemed to search high and low
she looked everywhere.

Then one day she found Him
I knew they'd never part.
He put a smile on her face
then He changed her heart.

They went everywhere together
they shared most everything.
Of all He ever gave her
there was no diamond ring.

Still she talked about Him
she told of all He'd done.
She told everybody
she knew He was the One.

I used to love to listen
and see the love light in Her eyes.
How she used to point
and motion to the skies.

She talked of how He loved the world
She talked of how He died.
She told me of believers
that they've become his bride.

She said He walked on water
then turned water into wine.
I asked if what He gave her heart
He could give to mine.

Then one day it happened
and I began to see.
The day that she found Jesus
was the day that found me.
