Too bad for that field rat cause I just know that the hawk will win that battle...they usually do! We watch them outside our house catching field mice here too! We had to be extra careful taking our puppy out when he had to use the bathroom...he was so small he could have been taken by one of those hawks, but with us there they don't try! I really enjoyed reading this masterfully created poem this morning! What a delightful piece my friend, Great Work!!
