Have You Been Good

Have You Been Good? I look at the grey sky smiling at me, I remember the previous years that passed by. I think of those times when I couldn’t hear, couldn’t see, “Have I been good?” to this question I couldn’t lie. Okay I was bad, but that was the past, I learned my lessons the hard way. If then I would quit, would decide so fast, Now I think things over, pros and cons I weigh. I’ve gone crazy, I’ve gone mad, Stupid people, my honesty they judged. Instead of being thankful, instead of being glad, My good intensions were painted with fingers ink-smudged. Thanks to you, who always believed and prayed, Shame on you, who always misunderstood. I am who I am, all my cards I laid, Ask yourself this, “Have you been good?”
