Hating you
Is
Fire


Hating you
is
Bursting
                Licking
                             Flames
           Passions
                                    Wicked Dreams
                                                            Wanton Yearning
Ugly beyond
                                                   Words
Ugly
                     beyond
                                           The stre                  tch
                                                                                      Of my imagining.
                                                                    Beyond the sleepless nights.
                                                                                               The haunted days.
your eyes
                              brilliant
                                            blue beyond the sky
                                                blue beyond the robin’s
                                                  blazing eggs of perfection
wild blue thoughts
of Hatred
turn me
rot me
I am
oath breaking
    sister  incarnate
putrid
stinking
worthy of the crumbs

                                                                    loving you
                                                                                           was no more beautiful

Jon A Cavanaugh October 12, 2012 at 5:03 PM I love the way you have structured this poem. I only have one poem with a somewhat similar structure that I forgot about. I'll have to find it and post it. You have probably noticed that all my poems but one rhyme. It is the form I feel most comfortable with.
