Author's Notes: This is a "Tanka" or a Japanese verse form write on the subject of "Hate." For this write, I've looked at "Hate" from the perspective of it being a most negative force and that intangible curse and cancer that can wound our souls very deeply and literally destroy the goodness in us as human beings. Just like with "Love," "Hate" can be both a rational and an irrational force which can have deleterious consequences both individually and certainly in relationships. This negative emotion in contradistinction to "Love," can destroy the very fabric and goodness of a relationship between two people, and where Love can help shape the destiny of a couple, "Hate" can ruin it -- perhaps forever. The syllable count for this Tanka is: 5-7-5-7-7 (for a total of 31 syllables). Gary Bateman - November 19, 2014) (Tanka poetic format)
