Hashtag Schoolyard Politics

In the recesses of my mind,
hashtag in the great playground of words
it pounds the imagination like a bully
How a tic-tac-toe sign
becomes the word of the year
is this just some blip in a crackerjack box
or will more non-words become words
Hashtag sounds like some corny
confusing childhood game like pinning
a note on someone’s back
or an oatmeal food fight in the lunch room
Hashtag medley melee
maybe I am just stewing around immaturely
hashtag juvenile data mining
but I nominate guillemets, for this years word,
which sounds more angelic
but all this is more or less trivial quote unquote
it is just a tweet geek hashtag tweek
