Harmony

Harmony


Where are you, oh Harmony,
Daughter of Mars and daughter of 
Venus?
Where shall I look for you?
In the enclosure of a serene
Harbor,
Or in the open tempestuous
Sea?
Under the bright sun of a Spring’s
Day,
Or beneath the dark sky of a stormy
Night?

The tormenting echo of your parents’
Struggle, 
In my divided heart I constantly
Sense: 
Fearing the one, loving the 
Other.

Save me, oh divine Harmony, from
Anguish,
Come, beloved one, I beg 
You!
Come, my bewildered soul to
Pacify!

James Horn December 8, 2014 at 6:44 PM What inspired you to write this? I detect a conflict in things in your life and you are seeking a compromise. We all live in duality with two competing paths in front of us. One is good (God) and the other is evil (devil). Who will win out. Hopefully, God of course. Have you heard from Aileen lately? Jim Horn Demetrious Montsanides was a friend I once knew. Does that have any meaning in Greek?

Laura Breidenthal August 1, 2013 at 9:50 PM I told Dan that harmony is nice..it is relied upon and treasured... but the sound..the very essence of dissonance can, for some people be appealing. I think harmony is fulsome. Dissonance, or chaos--the stuff that some people feed upon is often appealing..but NEVER fulfilling...harmony feels so great. I respect this write. Always, Laura
