Happy Thanksgiving
I hope you enjoyed the parade
Walt Disney characters displayed
On all the wonderful balloons
The great carnival of Cartoons
Remember the pilgrims’ pray
Give thanks to God this day
For blessings and good fortune
A bountiful harvest on its way
Forget your grudges and grievances
Welcome your family home
With open arms of warmth and love
They don’t want to be alone
So when you celebrate today
With a joyful feast then say
A loving peaceful gesture
To your fellow man this way
Wish them well for thanksgiving
Bless them for the time to come
Enjoy some football with them
And some dancing would be fun
Enjoy your turkey and stuffing
Your yams and pumpkin pie
But most of all be grateful
For the mercies God provides
So on this national holiday
I wish you every success
Peace to you and everyone
And I hope that you'll be blessed
