Dear Joyce, what a deep and meaningful Tanka! Wish we could all find our way back to childhood and enjoy the "thrills and trills." I worry the day may come when the meadow lark no longer sings. Our society has taken away too much of nature's beauty, but it can't erase memories like this one. Congratulations on your win! Love, Carolyn

Lovely tanka Joyce. Memories of youth, especially happy ones, are there to be revisited now and again; your 'love' bird's song will forever echo in your heart. // congrats on win. // paul
