Happy Songs

Sad songs are played every day.
I want one to laugh about,
Up lift me when I'm down,
Pass the time when I'm fooling around.
Send me giggling to the floor!
  Don't want no sad songs!
       NO MORE!

I know balance keeps us sane.
But I want to play a game!
Balance tilted on the side for fun,
  Much more fun for everyone.

  Eating dessert before a meal,
  Don't you squeal!
Staying up late to watch a show,
  Sleeping in, because.
  You know.
Making faces in the window at the neighbor next door.
Until she comes and bangs on the floor!
  Dancing on round tables,
  Not square!
Holding tight to and ice cream delight.
  Avoiding a bully,
  At least for one night!
Hearing music that is very light,
  Don't want no sad songs,
  At least not tonight!
