HAPPY POETS DAY
Poetry is a language
For it express the feelings
And emotions of the writer
Showing his or her
Interest and awareness
Telling a story
Showing history
Giving memories.
Poets are light of the world
They carve out stories
With inks and edifying words
Giving inspiration and more
Touching the heart
Enlightening the mind
Increasing the thinking faculty of the reader.
It's world poetry day
A day for heroes and legends
That couldn't pull the trigger
But fought with their pen
Against injustice and cruelty
Fought for freedom and more
Salute to all poets in the whole universe.
