Happy New Year

The old year is spent,
The New not yet sent,
The past has passed,
The new comes at last.

Time to reflect on what has been
Time to remember what we have seen
Time to look forward to what is to come
Time to get ready for things to be done.

For now it is the end of the year.
For now we remember and shed a tear
For time never wavers it just moves on
For soon we too will pass and be gone

Party with friends in the taverna or Pub
Party with friends whose shoulders we rub
Party with one eye on the clock on the wall
Party with folk just having a ball.

I join hands with friends as the clock strikes.
I Join in the song that everyone likes
I join with the throng, I know every line.
I join with my friends and sing Auld Lang Syne.
