Happy New Year

Happy New Year

H aving shelter and the means to keep ourselves
A live doesn’t seem like much to ask, yet many
P eople strive just to pay the rent and somehow keep their
P oor kids fed. Whatever can we say to those who
Y earn for just a bed?

N ow I sit and wonder why we simply don’t
E volve! All the problems that exist, only
W e can solve.

Y es, a New Year’s coming, and I hope we will
E mploy helpfulness for those in need. Let’s bring them love
A nd joy! In this world of woe, we need to be a
R ay of light, glowing, ever glowing though the world seem dark as night.

Real world problems! Not your typical Happy New Year...you chose to mention those others have forgotten and put into our ears the need for the human solution.

Yes, This should be our New Years resolution. It's a beautiful and timely poem any time of the year. You are almost through reading all my poems. I afraid that I'm a long way off from getting to read all yours. But they are such enjoyable reads. Soup mail.

Dear Andrea, Happy New Year to YOU and YOURS. This is the most Beautiful Acrostic POEM I have read to date. It rivals those of Carol Brown I enjoy how the last word of each line Blends into the First word of the next line. The message so pertinent to the reader. I Bow to YOUR Laureatus Talent. With LOVE ALWAYS and FOREVER YOUR Eternal Liege...Harry

This acrostic flowed nicely and gives such a wonderful and thoughtful message--I'm really liking some of these older poems. You have written so many! It's quite amazing. Always, Laura

you know Andrea, your wish here, is possible, i believe sometimes, power is more important than even wealth, the fact that there is so much unemployment to me is man made, someone is pulling the strings, guess we are all puppets, anyhow, wonderful poiem, i'm going to try and read many more of your earlier ones, harry

>>>or not ! Also, believe it or not; Acrostics, dating hundreds of years, have been done backwards to hide a message..ex.: hmm...I'll write one, and you decipher it ! My next write will be an Acrostic. Surely ! I am liking this poetry soup thingy Andrea, now that I've found an understanding collaborator ;) You have done a great job here, yet "for me", I am one of the sum, who don't grab the all caps thingy. Hey...see how it looks with one Andrea; you may never go back ! *smiles*, much love james

Well dear poet...what a great write of awe !...And now, your critique...*smiles* And this is just my opinion...though felt by souls in the past. There is a thingy within the Acrostic poem many souls have overlooked. It's called: "null cipher"...when you hide those capitals using lower case letters. It's a simple thing; just to make the reader hunt, *winks* Of course, the first letter in each stanza (if you use stanza's) gets capitalized( there are 3 verse stanza's), but hey, it's just me !--->
