Happy Father's Day, Daddy
I see you with Jesus, smiling,
Coffee cups in hand,
He stops in often in your heavenly shop,
Far above this land.
Just to make you happy,
He gave you a head of hair,
And recipes for all your pies,
And a winding counter there.
Mama and Papa smile at the din,
All your brothers and sisters sing,
Your beautiful wife and baby girl,
Join your personal ring.
And I’ll soon join you for a cup,
And a piece of chocolate pie ‘ere long,
Then more who knew and loved you so,
Will follow, will follow, your throng.
Daddy loved his coffee, and always wanted his own coffee shop.
I like to think he has it now.
