Happy Father's Day
the cracks on your hands tell a story no poet can compose
the rejections and humiliation you go through is second to none
the ultimate betrayal by the closest is the art one has to figure out
yet all this happens to men as they toil the mid sun troubles
just to keep there family safe and sound
a father shapes the house while the mother places the comfort shade for the family
the failure of one is reason enough for premature death in a home
but dad i want to remember a day like no other
a day we have to be man enough and embrace it's just once in an year
it's a day once forgotten by the closest noone can remember you
this day i want to remember the saddest part of our lives but also
open my eyes to the happiness that i have gone through in your care
i cannot forget the annual Nairobi show ground,
not an year passed without attending it
today i am a man enough to embrace my family tides for you fought yours
it's my day to as i have started to earn the scares of this short life
yet i am able to stand tall for you have always had my back
happy father's day and many more
God's blessings
