Happy Day Before Thanksgiving

Happy Day Before Thanksgiving

Happy day before Thanksgiving
Had to get an early start
I'm sending out this greeting
From the bottom of my heart

It goes to all my family
And that is everyone
All from the same beginning
When the World was first begun

Shame on us for prejudice
And looking down our nose
If we treated family better
Could be a better place; who knows?

To all my friends who read this
And to my family do implore
Place a light within your window
And a mat of welcome at your door

Treat others as you wish to be
Put out a helping hand
Don't put another person down
For what you don't understand

Didn't mean to lecture you
Did not start out that way
Give thanks for what you have tomorrow
May God bless you every day
