Happy Birthday Joyce

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOYCE Born before the hair dryer And even before hearing aids Frozen foods and television Pop-up toasters and aerosol sprays Jet engines, folding wheel chairs Scotch tape to stick things down No parking meters, electric blankets These items were not around But God in His infinite wisdom Knew what the world would need A great poet named Joyce Johnson To write poems for folks to read She acknowledges God in her poetry Her poems have become her voice Happy Birthday to you my dear We truly love you Joyce 12 April 2018

Thanks, Line! I wondered what amazing things Joyce must have been privileged to see take place --- things that you and I take for granted. What a list it was!! At the age of 75, I have seen some things invented but Joyce has a 25 year jump on me. lol

Thank you, Jan! Just as I said in response to Tom, becoming a centenarian deserves a tribute. Imagine the number of things she witnessed come into being that we today take for granted. Yes, she is truly a remarkable lady. I would relish a long productive life such as she has lived.

Thank you, Tom! I believe anyone who lives a good and godly life and makes it to 100 years old deserves a tribute far greater than I could ever give. In the sponsors note it encouraged us to make it short if possible. WOW! Talk about editing .... I had to reduce mine 2 or 3 times before I could comply. Joyce has been a solid supporter of mine since I joined Soup. She is a remarkable lady.
