Child of my Child
Beat of my Soul,
My precious Grandson
My heart you stole
Your sweet laughter reminds me
of my younger ways,
When your mommy crawled and played
like you do today
How quickly this first year has passed us by,
My pretty blue-eyed baby boy
so sweet and shy
Ever courious to see and learn all things,
So many blessing this life of yours shall bring
Through you, I see the future
Through me, you see the past
For Today we LOVE one another and as long as my life shall last.
