A spiritual woman, poet extraordinaire,
Just try one of her contests, if you dare,
A mentor of new poets, leader of old,
If you win first prize, consider it gold.

Her smile is infectious, her ideas sing,
Part of this family, she’s the Poetry Soup bling.
Her contests are tough, really makes you think,
Stand and Heat topics, well poems won’t stink

May you be with us for many, many more years,
Continuing to bring us laughter and some tears,
The world is better place with you, Debbie dear,
Wishing you the Happy Birthday, I’m very sincere.
